Intraoral Camera - Now You're Part Of The Team!

We realize that the best dental care results from teamwork between dentist and patient. One way we bring this about is by the use of a high-tech tool called the Intraoral Camera.

This amazing device is a miniature video camera that displays a close-up picture of the inside of your mouth. You can see for yourself what work needs to be done and what teeth are doing fine. You become a participant in each dental decision. You'll love how this works!

Your Health And Safety

The doctor has always placed great emphasis on instrument sterilization. Meticulous care is given to the process and the sterilized and sealed instruments are regularly monitored by an independent laboratory to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

PAINLESS TREATMENTS

Using short controlled bursts of laser that are not detectable by the human nervous system, SIROLaser allows Dr. Strassmand to carry out otherwise painful surgeries with much less pain at the expense of the patient.

As applied to endodontics, the SIROLaser will reduce bacterial population in the treated canals. Furthermore, the laser is used to treat infected gingival pockets and contaminated implant surfaces.

Digital X-Rays

Up to 90% less radiation. With this new technology, a digital image is taken of the inside of the mouth and downloaded into our computer system, where it is immediately available. No more waiting for images to develop and no more chemical waste to pollute the environment.

CROWNS IN A SINGLE VISIT

Those of us who have had crowns placed in our teeth or know someone who has understand that this has been an inexact science, at best. Impressions are taken, sent to the lab, crowns are made by hand in the lab, and the patient is summoned back to the office for a follow up visit to have the crown placed in the mouth. If the impression is not made precisely by the lab, or if anything has changed with the tooth, the crown won't fit ‘just right' - sometimes requiring a second impression and additional visit.

Welcome to the 21st century of dentistry! Dr. Strassman is pleased to offer crowns made with CEREC, a highly precise computer milling machine that makes crowns right in the office, in one visit.

Here's how it works. The doctor uses advanced imaging equipment to take a three dimensional image of your tooth. The image is fed via a computer to a set of robotic arms, which then goes to work on creating your permanent crown. No more temporaries, additional visits, or crowns that don't seem to fit right.

Just because CEREC crowns are convenient and aesthetically desirable doesn't mean you have to give up function. These modern restorations dramatically reduce cracking, possibly reducing the need for future root canal treatment. Due to the custom design and precise fit, CEREC restorations are bonded to the tooth with the optimum strength available.

We are pleased to be among one of the first in our community to offer crowns with the CEREC machine. If you have ever had a crown installed the traditional way, we are sure you will notice the difference!
